Well another weekend down, this time we didn’t really have to travel anywhere. It was however still a busy weekend. Wine-a-thon on Friday night followed by a visit from some family members and then capping it off with a Steamboat practice
We started at the Whole Foods for our first wine tasting. Five wines for four bucks (if you brought your previous wine glass back). The food was pretty good and the wine was ok. Next stop was Oakley wine. This place is a small wine store that has wine from everywhere. It features wine tasting with 8 different wines as well as cheese and crackers. What really surprised us was that there was this “Joe’s Bean Dip” that was amazing. Oh and there was pretty tasty wine there too.
Next stop was to Habits for our bruschetta and PBR. While we had PBR we were all full and didn’t get bruschetta. I did however get a plate of potato rags (hash browns with ranch, cheese, bacon, and tomatoes). On to a carnival of sorts. On the way we stopped in at the Oak Tavern and saw Justin Conrad working there promptly sequestered 2 jello shots for each person. Then it was on to the carnival…. but one more intervention…
It just had to be done. Finally we made it to the carnival. Horns and Jeff won a fish, Mo won a inflatable mallet and we got cheated out of winning at duck racing! After a bit at the carnival we got bored and wandered back to the Oak Tavern where we finished the night off with a rousing game of quarters. It was a blast.
