We have all been slowly adjusting to life with a new baby. Nick was home for the first 3 weeks after Mya was born which was great. The past 2 weeks, I have been on my own with the 2 kids, which has been a bit of a learning process. If only they were both always this sweet, content and happy…
It’s definitely been an adjustment for Bryson. Every time I pick Mya up or take care of her, Bryson tells me that he wants to snuggle. Fortunately, I usually have a free arm for him. He then forgets the snuggling. I guess he just wants to make sure I still have a spot for him. 🙂
We’ve managed to make it out the door a few times. We went on 2 play dates and to Crossroads for a Mom’s group. We even managed to be on time for 2 out of the 3 outings.
I definitely found planning to be a huge help. I make our breakfast and lunch the night before, and I have even started planning over the weekend what we’re having for meals….yep, this isn’t just for dinner anymore!
Baby wearing has also been key. Mya loves to be in her ring sling or moby wrap. It gives me 2 free hands to take care of the little man.
It’s getting a little easier every day, so hopefully it stays that way. I can’t wait until flu season is over and the weather warms up, so we can get out a little bit more!
