Mya – 1.75 Years

As of the 10th, Mya was 1.75 years old, aka 21 months old.  She is well on her way to being a toddler, and we see more and more of her little personality every day.

She is quite the adventurer.  At swim lessons, she is always the first to go down the slide, while most of the other kids are screaming, because they don’t want to go down it.  She loves to immitate others, and has picked up some bad habits from Day Care (saying “mine” all the time, and saying “no” in response to just about anything).

Mya has the cutest facial expressions, and she definitely lets you know how she feels.  If she’s mad, you know it.  She gives you a mean look, and will just scream as loud as she can every few seconds….repeatedly.

She currently loves anything art related: stamps, markers, pens, paint, etc.  She is also a little obsessed with her blankie and baby, which she HAS to sleep with every night (both of them).

Mya likes to take pictures with my iPhone…

She also has been into singing songs lately.  Most of the time it’s just a few words from the song, like “all through the town” or “ashes, ashes”.  It’s really cute hearing her sweet, little voice.  She also loves to try to ride her bike, although we haven’t quite found one that is her size.  She’s still a little too small for the balance bike and tricycle, but she’s getting too big for the “Fly Bike”.  I guess she will find other ways to make-do…

Mya also has some cute things in her vocabulary.  For example, she will say “you’re welcome” instead of thank you.  At least she’s trying!  Also, my birthday was 9 days ago, but every now and then (at least 3 times a day), Mya will look at me, get a huge smile on her face, and say, “Happy Birthday”.  I, in turn, get a huge smile on my face too, so she continues to do this.  I’m not complaining though.  I will take this extreme cuteness anytime.
