Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Mya, happy birthday to you!
2 years old? How is that possible? Sometimes I look at Mya and see how tall she is, and I am completely blind-sided. Slow down little girl. Don’t grow up too fast! I can’t believe this is my little, itty, bitty baby girl! It doesn’t seem possible.
Mya is such a sweet, independent, opinionated, passionate, fun-loving blessing in our lives, and we absolutely love her. Some of her favorite things are currently Rainbow Dash, reading books, her striped rain boots, and her princess pajamas.
Some of her favorite sayings are currently “I do it”, “Hold you”, “Sit by Me”, and “My _________ (milk, mommy, Dash, etc.)”
Mya has to pick out her own clothes every day, including her own socks, which rarely match (hence the picture above). I love it though. It’s so cute.
She loves being in social settings with other kids, singing, dancing, and trying new things (like bowling). She’s also working on jumping and can usually get a small jump in after hopping around a few times.
She dislikes being told no, when the car seat straps rub her shoulder, when Bryson has a toy she wants or does somethings she does not like. It usually results in hitting or biting. We are working on this feistiness though.
Mya is a really big helper. She helps me with laundry: moving clothes from the washing machine to the dryer or loading clothes in the washing machine. She also is a great cleaner-upper. She loves to clean-up and gets stamps at school, because she’s usually one of the first to clean-up.
One of my favorite parts of the day is when I put her to bed at night. She has become a pretty good sleeper, and before she goes to bed, I get to snuggle her and sing her the “I love you” songs. Those moments are the best.
We asked Bryson the other night what he loves about Mya, and he told us her craziness. Mya definitely keeps us on our toes. I can’t wait to see what future fun we have together. We love you so, so much my not so little girl!
