Grandma and Papa Feli visited last weekend. We had a lot of fun and kept busy outside in the gorgeous weather.
Friday night was supposed to be Bryson’s first soccer practice/game of the Spring season, but thunderstorms resulted in the games being cancelled. He was a little upset, but he had fun playing around the house with Grandma and Papa Feli.
Saturday involved a trip to the Krohn Conservatory. They had their annual butterfly exhibit, so the kids got to make some crafts and see lots of “Butterflies of the Caribbean.”
The next picture pretty much sums up Bryson’s feelings about the butterflies. He wasn’t a big fan. He really didn’t want any landing on him.
Mya did have 2 butterflies land on her. She was fine with it, until she actually realized they were there. She then got a little scared.
The rest of Saturday was filled with lots of time outside, playing in the sandbox, a walk, and playing in both the front and back yard. The kids also loved feeding Papa Feli fake food until he fell asleep, and then they would poke him to wake up. I think this was their favorite game.
Sunday we headed to Grand Valley Nature Preserve. There are some beautiful lakes, nice trails, and picnic tables. We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch and walked around a bit.
Bryson liked trying to throw rocks in the lake. Nick and Grandpa Feli both succeeded, with sore arms the next day.
It was great having the Felicelli’s visit. Come back soon!
