This past weekend was a pretty awesome one! Not only did we get to celebrate Mother’s Day, but I also chose to be baptized at Crossroads.
The kids made me some cute Mother’s day crafts at day care. Check them out below:
Saturday we went to lunch with the Parks and Grandpa and Grandma Slattery to one of my favorite restaurants, Stone Creek.
And Saturday afternoon, I was baptized. This was something I had been thinking about doing for some time, but finally decided to be brave and actually do it. Choosing to be baptized as an adult, is my way of demonstrating that I am choosing to follow Jesus, and try to live a life in line with the teachings of the Bible. It doesn’t mean I will be perfect (not possible!) or that my life will be perfect, but I will try to turn to God in both good times and bad.
My friend Kristy baptized me, and the kids got to see the baptism too. I am so happy that I decided to do this.

Sunday was complete with homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning and heading to Sellman Park for some photos. We just did them ourselves, but I think they turned out pretty good. Bryson even helped take some of the pictures!
After Mya’s nap, we headed to King’s Island for the first time this year. The kids loved it, and Mya got to ride a lot of new rides this year (including the swings and the Red Barron), since she was taller. It was a lot of fun watching them have so much fun!
I am so happy and lucky to be the mom of these 2 (and almost 3) kiddos!
