We survived the first week of 3 kids and just Mom! It was a little rough, especially at the start, but hopefully it gets easier as we go.
Monday started with Mya waking up with a tummy ache. She had diarrhea the night before, but then on Monday morning she puked as well. Poor girl wasn’t feeling well at all.
Also Monday morning, Kizzie rolled in something in the yard and smelled awful. Fortunately both of these things happened before Nick left for work, so he was able to help with the clean-up.
The rest of the day went relatively well. Mya was able to watch Frozen, and Bryson went to Recreations Outlet with a friend (and McDonalds) where he was able to run off some pent up energy. I’m so happy to have friends who offer to help out!
Tuesday was more puking from Mya with Bryson staying at home. I think she slept on the couch half the morning, and Bryson did Legos, so things were relatively calm.
Wednesday, Mya felt a little better, but still wasn’t eating much, so she was super fussy. No more puking, but she still had diarrhea.
Thursday Mya was feeling much better, and the weather was awesome, so we used the water table and got to play outside a little bit.
After a rough few days, with puking, diarrhea, getting peed on by Landon, and me losing my patience on more than one occasion, Mya and Bryson got to go to King’s Island with Grandma and Grandpa Slattery on Friday. I think this was a much needed break (for all of us) from being home with just Mom.
Friday night was also the Madeira parade. The kids loved it, and Mya tried to open every piece of candy that she got. I think she would have eaten the whole bag if we let her.
First week is now in the books. I haven’t been brave enough yet to take all 3 of them out with just me, but maybe soon….here’s hoping that we start to get in a little more of a groove this coming week!
