We had another fun year at Clifty Falls. This year, Clifty Falls just happened to fall on Bryson’s birthday, so we did some celebrating at Clifty this year as well. Some of the highlights from this year include…
Grilling out Friday night, with some rain storms coming through. bryson loved playing in the rain; Mya, not so much. Nick and I also won the annual water balloon toss this year.
Saturday, we had dirt cupcakes for Bryson’s birthday (on Sunday). We also had a pool party at the big pool. Bryson and Mya both loved going down the water slide. Since they had floaties on, they had to go down with someone else not wearing floaties. They loved it, and Emma was a huge helper, taking all the kids down the slide. Landon liked napping in the shade.
Sunday, we had a pinata for Bryson’s birthday. It worked out great, with all the kids getting a few whacks at it. Claire was suprisingly good at hitting it, and ended up finishing off the pinata for everyone to grab the candy. Bryson also got one present from us, his baby cheetah named Mark. He loved it.
I played and tied for 2nd in the euchre tournament. I think this is the first time I’ve actually placed!
We had yummy Smores by the campfire on Sunday night, and the older kids stayed up way past their bedtimes. I think Bryson had a good birthday!
Monday was the trip home, with neither Mya nor Bryson napping. Landon did most of the way. I think Mya is still not caught up on sleep, but thankfully Landon slept like a champ at Clifty.
