Beer, a Baby, and updates

Well its been a while.

We have been slowly gaining ground on the home ownership. We have bought a table for our dining/kitchen table (link).  I will get some actual pictures with the chairs soon.  We also by the end of today have a fence up in the yard finally.  The only other things we still need to do is get bedroom furniture as well as a china cabinet thing to house all of the china that is still in its boxes.

I am sure most of the readers have heard about Jeff and Meghan having their baby on Feb 4th at 3:57am.  7 lbs 4 oz and 20 ½ inches long.  Some pictures of the baby are on their blog here.  I will add a link to their page on here after I get done with this post.

Which reminds me if you have any pictures/webpages/anything related to our family please send them to me and I can link them or whatever.

On to beer, what most of the readers are worried about.  As of today it is out of the fermenter and carbonating.  Give it a week or so and it will finally be ready to be tasted.  It sure does smell like beer so that is a good start.  This time I tried to prime the keg with sugar instead of CO2 infusion to get the carbonation.  This will give it a thicker and longer lasting head (theoretically).  I will eagerly be awaiting my first taste.  I just need to clean the kegerator and hose assemblies so that we can get it chilled and going as soon as it is ready.

My next step (I think) is try to do some harder beer kits and maybe even start branching out for my own flavor.  After that the world will be mine.

More information for this website, it was first designed to be a place for all family members to post so if you would like an account please just send me an email and I can create one for you.  I can also create you an account on the image page so that you can upload as well.
