Busy busy

Its been busy the last few weeks. Starting the ultimate season, work, and house stuff.

We had finished our tryouts last night for Steamboat; a Cincinnati Mixed Team for the fall series. That was a long tryout but after finalizing the roster I am glad it is over. Now its just on to practice and tournaments.

I went to a Genotyping conference in Itasca Illinois on Tuesday of this week. It was a great learning opportunity. Although I am not a biologist I deal with this stuff everyday for the applications I develop for. I learned a ton of new things as well and to help clarify the things that I did know, but I will spare you the details.

The hawks unfortunately are down 2-0 in the Western conference finals already and because of being super busy I have not yet got to see them. I will be able to see them at home on Friday though. GO HAWKS!

Doing some yard work I was also presented with a gift from our yard when doing some more mulch spreading and weeding. This gift was none other than poison ivy. I once thought that I was immune to this plant but I guess I am not anymore. I am still healing from it but it is mostly gone as of now. I think that I must have done it while string trimming the back area and ended up spraying it all over, Fun Fun Fun.
