As of yesterday, Mya’s officially one month!
Stats from her one month doctor’s visit are below:
- Height: (22 inches, 90th percentile)
- Weight: (10 lbs, 3 ounces, 75th percentile)
- Head Circumference: (37.4 cm, 75th percentile)
Sleep is going relatively well, considering she’s only one month old. She goes down for bed usually between 9 and 10 pm, and wakes up about 2-3 times a night. We’ve had a couple 4 hour stretches of sleep, which were great ! She generally goes back to sleep pretty quickly (after nursing). Occasionally we have a screaming wake up, which I think is caused by acid re-flux, but this is usually early in the evening. Nick usually gets up with her around 5 or 6 am, and she sleeps in his arms for the next hour or 2. She’s still napping a ton on and off during the day.
Mya definitely knows her Mama’s voice. I love the way she listens, calms and perks up when I talk to her. She definitely knows who has “the goods”.
She has also been cooing a little bit. This started when she was only 10 days old! She cooed while I was talking to her. She’s been steadily cooing a little more and more every day, and now we get quite a few coos out of her every day. They are adorable!
Mya’s also been giving us some sweet, almost smiles. Her lips turn up and her eyes light up. She’s done a couple full on smiles, but those are pretty rare. I’m sure we’ll be seeing lots more soon.
She is such a snuggly, sweet, precious little girl. I’m so in love!
