Mya – 10 Months

10 months old on the 10th! Ay ya ya…we’ve already reached double digits.

At 10 months old, Mya is the cutest, happiest baby.  Seriously, we get comments from everyone about how happy she is.  She smiles all the time.  It’s adorable!

Mya is pulling up, cruising, and trying to climb on everything.  I feel like this is only a preview of what’s to come.  This girl loves to climb.

She has also recently started standing and letting go.  She used to get really excited when she did it and fell down pretty much immediately, but recently, she’s been holding it steady for a good 15-30 seconds.

Mya has learned a few signs.  She loves to sign Dog and Milk.  She also points at everything and everyone.  We are still trying to figure out if she’s left or right handed, but based on the way she claps, we’re thinking maybe left.  I guess only time will tell.

Mya also now yells at Bryson.  If he gets mad at her and yells at her, she’ll yell right back.  Good thing she’s learning to stand up for herself already.

Sleep has been pretty good this month.  She’s been waking only 1-2 times during the night, napping twice a day, although afternoon naps tend to be on my arms.  She’s finally sleeping on her tummy, so I think that helps a ton!

Mya’s eating and nursing like a champ.  Her favorite foods are cheese, bread and pasta.  That kind of sounds like someone else I know (Bryson).  She also has only one tooth.  She’s had the same tooth for a month and a half.  It’s pretty cute, and it doesn’t slow her down from eating at all.

Mya also loves anything water related this month.  She likes to splash the water out of her cups at meal time.  She LOVES taking baths, and she is now trying to stand in the tub.  She always knows when Kizzie’s water bowl is on the floor and bee lines it over there.  And recently, she started to stick her hand in the toilet…gross!  We are now trying to keep the toilet seats down.

Cutest moment this month was when I came home from one of my evening runs.  Nick gets her ready for bed, and then when I get home I nurse her to sleep.  The one night I came home, she was SO excited to see me. S he started clapping and jumping up and down on Nick’s lap all the while with a huge grin on her face.  It was super sweet and quite the homecoming!  Mya is so stinkin cute!!

And on a side note…the first week of work went pretty well.  Bryson had a ton of fun at daycare, but was pretty much done by the end of the day.  He was grumpy, because I think he was pretty worn out.  He told us he got a little sad at nap time, but other than that, it seemed like he did really well.  Mya did okay  She only napped once each day, probably because there was way too much other stuff going on.  She also refused to take any milk, but she ate like a champ.  I think everyone was pretty impressed with how much the girl can eat.  She’s just like her brother in that sense.  I also survived, but I sure did miss their sweet little faces!
