Bryson went back to his ear doctor earlier this week, because one of his tubes was blocked with ear wax. When we got to the ear doctor, we found out that the tube was actually out, just stuck in some ear wax in his ear canal. The doctor removed the ear tube, and told Bryson to take it home, and see if the Tube Fairy, the rich uncle of the Tooth Fairy, would come visit.
We decided to give it a try and see what happened.
Bryson put his tube outside his door for the Tube Fairy. We tried to get him to put it under his pillow, but he didn’t want the Tube Fairy coming in his room. Outside the door the tube went…
In the morning, Bryson woke up and found a dollar bill outside of his room and his tube was gone!
He wasn’t too excited about the dollar bill. I’m not sure what he was expecting. We tried to explain that the dollar was the same as 4 coins and we could put it in his piggy bank. He still wasn’t too excited. I think he was a little sleepy.
This may be the last time the Tube Fairy visits, depending on whether or not Bryson gets any ear infections over the next 8 weeks or so. If he gets ear infections, he will likely need another set of tubes. No ear infections, means no more tubes.
Hopefully this was the last visit for the Tube Fairy, but only time will tell…
