Happy Halloween! We had a fun all day celebration, since Halloween was on a Saturday this year. The morning was filled with orange pumpkin pancakes with blueberry eyes, nose and smiles. After breakfast, we carved our 2 pumpkins. I helped Bryson, and Nick helped Mya. Neither were big fans of touching the pumpkin guts, but we got the job done.
After carving pumpkins, we headed to the backyard to rake a ton of leaves. The kids loved jumping in them, and Nick even made a big pile in front of the slide, which Bryson went head first into. Mya thought it was the funniest.
In the evening, we had friends over for pizza and trick-or-treating. Bryson lasted about 45 minutes, but Mya wanted to keep going. She loved going door to door, saying “trick-or-trick” and “tank ew” and “welcome!” It was really cute. Mya ate 3 pieces of candy, then tried to bite through the wrappers of the other candies, when we told her that was enough. Both kids were worn out. I’d say it was a successful Halloween!
