What’s new with the pregnancy? What I thought was Sciatica actually ended up getting way worse. I could barely stand-up from seated, and when I did, I had shooting pain in my buttocks / upper leg. It was rough. I went to see my general practitioner doctor about it, and he said that it was S-I Joint Pain. He said there wasn’t a ton that I could do for it, because of the pregnancy, but the good news was that it was all pregnancy related and would go away once I delivered. I couldn’t imagine spending another 8 weeks with this pain, so he said alternative therapy could also help. My friend gave me the name of an upper cervical doctor (chiropractor) who really helped her with her pregnancies. I visited him and had no pain after my first adjustment. Whew! The pain came back a bit, but not as intense. After another visit, the pain is significantly less. Hopefully this keeps up!
Another new thing with the pregnancy is Mya loves to feel my tummy. She puts her hand on it, and immediately says “He’s moving!” or “It’s coming out!!” It’s pretty cute. Check out the video below:

Milestones: My doctor’s appointments are now every 2 weeks. We are getting closer!
How is eating going? Good, except I get full very quickly. I can only eat small meals now, because I just don’t think I have that much space in my stomach right now. Maybe this is a good thing?!
How is sleep and energy? Sleep has actually been a little better. I don’t feel like I’m waking up quite as much as I was. Maybe the chiropractor is helping with this? I still have nights when I can’t seem to fall asleep, but when I do get to sleep, I’m waking up a little less! Energy is challenging. I don’t have much, but I have lots of ambitions on things I want to get done. Luckily, Nick is really helpful. J
How much weight have you gained? About 28 pounds.
What are you unsure about? Baby names, baby names, baby names….
What are you most excited about? Warm weather and getting to play outside with all the kids. Having some energy back – someday. Meeting this little guy, seeing what he looks like and watching his little personality shine through!
