Bryson is almost 5 years old. One more week, and Bryson is definitely counting down the days! Happy (almost) birthday Bryson!
This post is a little early, but we will be at Clifty Falls State Park this year for Bryson’s birthday. I figured I should do this post now, since we will probably have lots to write about after the long Clifty weekend.
So 5 year update…Bryson loves imaginative play. He is always pretending. One minute he is a baby cheetah named “Mark”, the next minute we are diving in a water tank and looking at all the sea creatures, another time we are playing hockey with a broom and a ball, and then later we are in a parade, handing out candy to everyone. It can be exhausting, but he loves it!
Some of his favorite toys are transformers, teenage mutant ninja turtles, Octonauts, and Racooney (one of Kiz’s toys). Bryson also loves watching / playing games on the iPad and running through the sprinklers outside.
Bryson asks a ton of questions (smart questions), usually followed up with a “why?”. He is still the inquisitive little boy that he has always been. He is not a big fan of new things, and tends to worry a bit if he has to do something new. He has to feel it out before he is comfortable with new things, and wants to know all the details before going somewhere new (who will be there?, what is there?, how long will we stay?, will you guys stay with me?, etc., etc.)
His favorite foods are mac-n-cheese, Skyline 3 ways, and chicken tikka masala. He loves fruit, but isn’t a huge fan of veggies.
Bryson has an awesome smile. The other day at Costco, I was walking back from the bathroom and Bryson was waiting with Nick. He saw me coming and was giving me this huge grin and big wave. It was super cute!
Bryson is growing into such a big kid. He is helpful when we ask him to do stuff, he is kind to others, he has an awesome sense of humor (which is mostly slapstick), his laugh lights up our world, and he makes us proud every day. We love you so, so much! Thanks for being such a great kiddo, Mr. B!
