Landon is now 11 months! This is the last month of him being an infant. What? What? On my next update, he will be a toddler. This. Is. Not. Possible.
Well, okay, he is starting to do some toddler like things, so maybe it is possible. But it definitely does not feel like it. This first year is flying by.
Here are some of the Toddler like things that Landon has been doing this past month:
- He drops food off his tray at dinner time. They kids think it is hillarious, so he continues putting on a show for the kids. We try not to have them laugh, but when everyone is belly laughing, it’s tough.
- He started waving on 5/21/17. He waves backwards towards himself (the cutest!), and waves at everyone and everything. He even kind of says, “Hi”, while he is waving.
- He started clapping about a week ago.
- He is imitating. He loves to play silly games where he copies what we are doing. Like if we turn our head all the way to the side, he does that too. Or if we shake our head back and forth, Landon does as well.

Some of the things Landon has really been loving this month include: oranges, crawling, exploring everything (especially the kid’s kitchen), blackberries, dancing, the light-up caterpillar, and bath time splashing.

He has 5 teeth, 3 on top and 2 on bottom. I think more are on their way soon, because he constatnely has his fingers in his mouth. We keep thinking the 4th one on the top is coming soon, but it’s been about 2 weeks since the 3rd one popped through, and we still aren’t seeing the 4th.
Sleep has been going pretty well. He still naps twice a day, but can get by on one nap if we have something going on in the morning. Nights are pretty good, with him going to bed between 7-7:30 and sleeping until 6:30-7. He usually only wakes up once, nurses, and goes right back to bed. We still ocassionally have the more than one wake up or nights/naps when he just doesn’t want to sleep, but those don’t happen too often any more…thankfully!
Landon has been using sing language a bit. He does “more”, and waves his arms around when he is all done. He is also signing, “dog”. It’s really fun to see him communicating with us.
Happy last month of being an infant, little Land-man! We love you so, so much!
