Nick and I completed another Amazing Charity Race this year. This was my 5th and Nick’s 6th race. We’ve been racing since 2010, taking almost every other year off due to pregnancy / having a newborn.
Below is our before photo. We are all smiles, despite getting basically no sleep and both being puked on by a sick Landon the night before. The morning of the race, Landon puked all down the front of my race shirt, which I was required to wear. I quickly rinsed it, and we made it to the race – maybe a little smelly. No one can tell though, right?
It was a really fun race, with about 6 miles of running, and 8 miles of biking, plus 20 crazy obstacles. My new road bike definitely helped us go faster this year. We finished 15th out of 315 teams. Not too shabby!
Even post race, we were all smiles – just a little sore and tired. Thanks for being a great partner Nick!
