March 2018

I have been a little behind on the blog.  Marathon training has kept me pretty busy the past few months.  Here is an update of some things that happened over the past month…

Mya came to lunch at P&G with me.  I took her out of daycare for lunch, and she ate at the cafeteria.  She was a little unsure about all the people and the big building, but I think she had fun eating lunch with Mommy!

We had a bit of sickness in the house.  Everyone had a short-lived stomach bug, except Nick.  He had a pretty bad sinus infection though.  We missed quite a bit of work or worked from home, to help get everyone nursed back to health.  Now, we are just down to runny noses and a recovering ear infection for Mya.

Landon learned a new trick…

Fed (?) Kizzie some food…

And rocked out to the song “Thunder”.

We tried out a new gelato place in Madeira called LeGrassa.  It was yummy!  We will definitely be back!

I got to go to “Muffins with Mom” with Bryson and he filled out a sheet all about me, which was actually pretty accurate (Kroger???  That’s just cause I have to go there every week).

We headed to Brown County again this year.  Bryson and Mya were super excited.  Landon was excited to see Grandma, and hugged her for a good 30 minutes when we first got there.

The kids had a ton of fun swimming.  Mya went down the slide about 10 times in a row, swallowing half the pool water in the process.  We told her maybe she should take a break after that.  Bryson did not wear a floatation device the whole time he was swimming, and was able to pull himself out of the pool with no issues.  He’s getting so big!  Landon wasn’t real sure about the fountains / spray pads, but he loved the lazy river.  He actually got really mad when I had to get him out of the pool for nap time.  He kept putting his toe back in the water and saying “No! No!”

Mya had fun getting her nails painted by Aunt Kelly.  We had an awesome taco bar for dinner on Saturday.

Nick and I also got to play some “Brian Who?”  That was a ton of fun!

Bryson got stuck in his pajamas one night.  I guess this is what happens when you stay up wayyyy past your bedtime.  His leg was in the arm hold, and he was trying to put his arm through the hood….luckily we figured it out (but not before we got a picture).

We had a few issues with the room (a dirty room to begin with, frozen food in the fridge, maids coming in while Landon was napping, etc.), but overall we had a fun time as usual.  The kids even got to learn about birds as we were leaving Sunday.  Bryson loved this.

We stopped by Columbus on our way out of town, had some Mark Pi’s, and Landon made his own “tea soup” in one of the tea cups.

This past weekend, we also cheered the Boilermakers on to the Sweet 16 in March Madness, where they lost.  Landon loved saying “toot toot” and looking at the Purdue train hanging in front of our house.

On a Friday we received a note in Bryson’s backpack that a piece of his artwork was displayd at the local library.  Bryson kept saying that he was famous and that he couldn’t believe it.   We just had to go and check it out, and sure enough we spotted it right away.

Mya also got to get her first big girl hair cut with mommy.  She kept showing us how much she wanted to cut off and said to only cut of ‘this’ much.  She was a little nervous about it, and she wasn’t sure about having her hair washed in a sink and laying down for it, but overall, I think she had a really fun time.

Now, on to SPRING and April.  Bring on the warmer weather!
