The kids did an Easter Egg Hunt at Moeller High School again this year. They got tons of eggs. Landon loved picking up the eggs and putting them in his basket. After we finished, he kept saying “gummies” when we opened each egg. Every type of candy (chocolates, M&Ms, Jolly Ranchers, etc.) was a “gummy”. He the, proceeded to eat 2 chocolate eggs in no time!
The kids didn’t really want to participate in the Rugby Games this year, but Bryson did run an entire lap around the track without stopping. I told him if he did that 80 more times, he would run the same amount that I ran that morning. He wasn’t quite up for that.
We went to Crossroads Easter service in Mason on Saturday night. It was awesome as usual! Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa’s condo for dinner. Landon liked poking people with Bugles.
Sunday morning, the kids were super excited to find their Easter baskets. The baskets had some candy, gum for Bryson and Mya (their current favorite), toothpaste, and a few other fun things. They each got a small toy too – Landon got trains, Mya got a sticker book, and Bryson got Legos. The Easter Bunny was pretty good to them.

However, I think Bryson may be on to us. He has always been super inquisitive and practical. That’s his personality. Saturday, I left some Easter basket stuff on the back of the counter, in a bag, covered by my coat. Nick brought my coat to the Easter egg hunt for me, so Bryson got a glimpse of what was in the bag. The next morning when the stuff in the bag showed up the Easter baskets, Bryson insisted that “the parents” were the Easter Bunny. Ugh. Mom fail. I knew it was coming, and he has been asking about Santa (Sow does he get to every house? Where does he carry all the toys? How can he be that fast? Etc.) since he was 4. We didn’t give him a definitive yes or no, but I think before Christmas, we may need to have a chat. ?
We also headed to the Parks on Sunday for Easter lunch and another egg hunt. The kids got a ton of eggs.
Overall, it was a fun weekend of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection! Happy Easter!
